Hull and deck cleaning, maintenance and repair are necessary activities that occur in most harbors and boat yards. However, even routine activities can generate significant amounts of hazardous wastes. These pages will provide boat owners and harbor staff with ideas and suggestions on how to perform these activities while minimizing the impacts on our marine environment.
Alaska Infrastructure Surveys
In 2011, Cook Inletkeeper worked with funding from the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation to update the 2005 Cornell Harbor Survey, specifically in regards to vessel maintenance infrastructure availability.
You can see the results of the 2011 Infrastructure Survey here.
